I believe it is important to set measurable goals for yourself because goals, whether they be big or small, give you clarity on what exactly you want in life, helps you focus your efforts, and drives you forward. Below are some of the goals I have set for myself.

Short term summer 2015 goals include:

Take an American Sign Language class

Participate in more community service activities

Work in a summer camp or program

Learn and become certified in CPR

Build Spanish and Japanese language proficiency

Read at least two novels entirely in Spanish

Live a healthier lifestyle

Long term life goals include:

Graduate from Pace University in May, 2015 with a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology and a minor in Psychology.

Be admitted into a Master’s program in NYC for Early Childhood Education

Secure a career in early childhood intervention
